In 2004, thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Elsie Krasting de Rivero Haedo (Virginia Carreño), Fundación Espigas incorporated the Carmen Valdés Documentary Fund.

Carmen Valdés (1909-2004) was an outstanding Argentine cultural manager. Between the 1940s and 1960s she was secretary and assistant director of Saber Vivir magazine, director of Saber Vivir Gallery, founder of the Sociedad Amigos del Arte Oriental (S.A.D.A.O.), founding member and member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Cultural Argentino Hindú, second vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Asociación Pro Museo de Arte Oriental and founding member of the Asociación de Amigos del MNAO.

The Valdés personal fund has an extension of more than 123 archive boxes and includes catalogs, magazines, books, brochures, photographs, postcards, letters, greeting and personal cards, personal notebooks, magazine layouts, press kits, contracts, account books, among others.

4. Martín Greco and Jerónimo Ledesma collaborated in 2009 in the edition of the book La penosa manía de escribir. Ramón Gómez de la Serna en la revista Saber Vivir, 1940-1956, which approached the figure of Gómez de la Serna through the documentation available in the Valdés Collection.
